Punta Cana Helicopter Ride

At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel and head to the Punta Cana International Airport. After a brief safety briefing, we’ll board a four-seater helicopter that will fly over the eastern coasts of the Dominican Republic.

The flight route will vary depending on the option selected. During the helicopter ride, the pilot will provide explanations and comments about the landscapes we’ll see. At the end of the flight, we’ll return to the airport, where a bus will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.

Options and itineraries

You can choose from four itineraries with different durations:

  • 10-minute ride: we’ll admire from high above the coastline of Playa Bávaro and El Cortecito. Flying over the hotels and golf courses in the area, we’ll enjoy spectacular views of the spectacular turquoise waters along the Dominican coast.
  • 15-minute tour: in addition to the itinerary of the 10-minute tour, it also includes a panoramic view of the Arena Gorda beach, where the green of the lush vegetation merges with the white color from the hotels and the golden hues of the beaches.
  • 20-minute ride: after completing the two previous itineraries, we’ll continue flying north, chasing the waves of Macao Beach, one of the surfing paradises of the Dominican Republic.
  • 30-minute ride: after gliding over the incredible coasts of Playa Bávaro, El Cortecito, Arena Gorda and Macao, we’ll head even further north to catch a glimpse of the Uvero Alto resorts from our privileged location.
  • 40-minute ride: we’ll fly over the entire coastline of Bávaro Beach, Macao, Cabeza de Toro and the Uvero Alto resorts. As the perfect finishing touch for this route, we’ll fly over the Cap Cana resort area to wrap up this tour around Punta Cana.

Juanillo Beach Day Trip

From 7 am we’ll pick you up at your hotels in Bávaro, Punta Cana or Bayahibe. First, we’ll head to the Cap Cana Marina, to take a catamaran to the paradisiacal Juanillo beach.

It will take two hours to sail along this tropical coast, before anchoring to enjoy snorkelling around the coral reefs that are hidden under the Caribbean Sea. We’ll also visit the Natural Pool, a very special sandbank!

When we return to the boat after having explored the sea bed, we’ll have access to an open bar until we reach the next destination, Juanillo Beach. On arrival, we’ll walk on the white sand… The sun, the breeze, the palm trees, everything on this shore will remind us of a movie set.

We’ll enjoy free time in Playa Juanillo and the treasures that the area hides. Then we’ll go to an exquisite restaurant, between 12 pm and 1 pm, to savour a succulent seafood dish made up of seasonal lobster or shrimp. 

Our last visit will be the Hoyo Azul cenote. Here, we’ll have the opportunity to dive from a platform or go down some stairs. Afterwards, we’ll get on board the catamaran to arrive at the port of Cap Cana.

When we get off the boat, we’ll get the bus to your hotel arriving at around 4 pm.

BahÍa de las Águilas Tour

Plane tickets, food, boat tour…This BahÍa de las Águilas Day Tour has it all! We’ll pick you up from your hotel between 6 and 7 am, then head to Punta Cana airport. We’ll get a flight lasting an hour and a half, and land in Cabo Rojo airport at 9 am.

We’ll get on a minibus and head to a ranch where we’ll enjoy breakfast with stunning views of the sea. Then we’ll get a speedboat, lasting 20 minutes, and cruise around the Dominican coastline to BahÍa de las Águilas. 

Did you know that the Bahia de las Aguilas was chosen by the New York Times as one of the must-see destinations in the Dominican Republic? The 8-kilometre long beach, which belongs to the Jaragua National Park, is UNESCO protected. Once we reach land, you’ll be surprised by the crystal clear waters and the limestone rock mountains that wrap around the bay. 

You’ll have two hours and a half of free time to sunbathe or swim carefree and enjoy the Carribean atmosphere. Then at 1:30 pm, we’ll head back to the speedboat to enjoy a buffet-style lunch including both alcoholic drinks (rum and beer) and non-alcoholic drinks (water, soft drinks and juices). If you have any food allergies or dietary requirements you should state this at the time of booking. 

After eating we’ll head to Cabo Rojo airport by minibus to board the plane and take off at 4:30 pm. The tour will end around 7 pm when we arrive back at your hotels in Punta Cana after a day full of beautiful landscapes. 

Important Information

  • This Bahía de las Águilas tour by plane includes pick up in the hotel areas of Bavaro and Punta Cana. 
  • If you’re staying in another area you can go directly to Punta Cana airport at 7 am or pay an additional pick up supplement which you must pay by cash on the day of the activity.
  • For those staying in Uvero Alto, you must pay a supplement of 10 USD per person. If you’re staying in Bayahibe the supplement is 60 USD per person.

Itinerary

We’ll pick you up at your hotel on board our trucks; ideal for a safari around the interior of the Dominican republic.

We’ll visit a junior school, to learn how local children study and about daily life in a small rural village. Then we’ll make our way to a sugar, cocoa and coffee plantation, three of the largest crops in the country and central to the local economy.

The tour then continues in the city of Higüey, where we’ll discover the cathedral of Our Lady of Altagracia: one of the most visited Catholic churches in the Caribbean. 

Our safari next heads into the mountains of the Dominican Interior, visiting local farms where their workers will tell us about their customs and show us their homes. And before leaving we’ll try their Dominican cocoa and coffee in beautiful natural surroundings.

Following this, the tour visits the Valencia Ranch, where we’ll observe how their artisanal wares are made and we’ll take a delightful horse ride over the ranch grounds. Then we’ll fuel up with a delicious buffet lunch, where you can try the diverse local dishes on offer.

The tour ends at Macao beach or the Jonu River, depending on the day. We’ll relax for 20 minutes at one of these stops before making our way back to the hotel.
